Please, no more symbolic releases of doves. Not only is it a cliche, but the poor bloody things don't have a chance.
Posted by Alan Allport at August 8, 2005 11:52 PMWe have delicate small gray doves, quite different from pigeons, that nest in pairs in San Francisco backyards. A few years ago a cat we were watching killed one of them but otherwise they seem able to get by.
