Art Spiegelman on the cartoons

An original take on the controversy, as you might expect.

That's very pleasant to see. After In the shadow of no towers, a cartoon exploration of how George W. Bush pushed the World Trade Center over onto Art Spiegelman, I'd thought that he was lost in a deranged world of his own creation. This (especially his highlighting of the Israeli anti-Semitic cartoon contest) proves otherwise.

One caveat, though: the Norwegian blasphemy law has not, actually been passed. See Harrys Place for details.

His comments seem to me not so much original as incoherent.
